Self-Care and Burnout Prevention

This course focuses on techniques for managing stress and preventing burnout in a community services environment. It covers mindfulness practices, strategies for maintaining work-life balance, and methods for building resilience. Participants will learn how to prioritize self-care, manage workplace stress, and sustain long-term wellbeing, ensuring they remain effective in their roles while maintaining personal health. This course is ideal for professionals in the community services sector seeking to prevent burnout and promote overall wellbeing.

The course will consist of 2 workshops, each with a duration of 4 hours.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this course, you must be currently employed in the community services sector with relevant work experience.
Course Information

Delivery Mode: Live sessions, available either in person or via Zoom. On-site facilitation at a workplace can be arranged upon request.

Minimum Participants: A minimum of 20 participants is required for the course to proceed.

Assessments: Participants will be required to complete theory and scenario-based assessments, to be submitted within 4 weeks of workshop completion.

Certification: A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon submission and satisfactory assessment results.

Facilitator
The course will be facilitated by our Course Coordinator, Rebecca O’Sullivan (BPsych, GradDipFDRP, GradDipMgmt, DipYouthWk, DipCouns, CertIVTAE, Cert III IS), who brings extensive expertise and experience in the field.
