Foundations of Counselling
This course focuses on understanding the foundational principles of counselling and equips participants with essential skills to communicate effectively with clients. It emphasizes the importance of building trust, creating a supportive environment, and fostering open, empathetic communication. Participants will learn how to establish a counselling relationship, apply key interview techniques, and respond to client needs in a professional and compassionate manner. This course is ideal for professionals in the community services sector who wish to enhance their counselling skills and improve client outcomes.
Delivery Mode: Live sessions, available either in person or via Zoom. On-site facilitation at a workplace can be arranged upon request.
Minimum Participants: A minimum of 20 participants is required for the course to proceed.
Assessments: Participants will be required to complete theory and scenario-based assessments, to be submitted within 4 weeks of workshop completion.
Certification: A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon submission and satisfactory assessment results.
