Crisis Intervention Techniques
This course focuses on crisis intervention techniques, providing participants with the skills and strategies needed to effectively manage crises involving individuals experiencing mental health emergencies. It covers essential de-escalation methods, helping participants to remain calm and provide appropriate support in high-pressure situations. By learning these techniques, participants will be equipped to handle crises safely and effectively, ensuring the wellbeing of individuals in distress. This course is ideal for professionals in the community services sector who are involved in crisis management or mental health support.
Delivery Mode: Live sessions, available either in person or via Zoom. On-site facilitation at a workplace can be arranged upon request.
Minimum Participants: A minimum of 20 participants is required for the course to proceed.
Assessments: Participants will be required to complete theory and scenario-based assessments, to be submitted within 4 weeks of workshop completion.
Certification: A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon submission and satisfactory assessment results.
